Canopus Announced as a 'Premier Sponsor' for WEVA EXPO 2005

Sarasota, FL - The Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) has announced that Canopus Corporation has become a Premier Sponsor for this year’s special 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo (August 8-11, 2005) at the Las Vegas Hilton. Canopus has also enlarged their exhibit space for WEVA EXPO 2005 to accommodate more system-specific training on the WEVA show floor.
“Fast and efficient workflow is critical for videographers--and for WEVA EXPO 2005 we have increased our exhibit space over last year to demonstrate how Canopus continues to respond to those needs with the release of our new products,” said Kara Martin, director of marketing at Canopus. Martin related she especially likes the WEVA EXPO environment because, “At WEVA, we’re interacting with professional wedding & event videographers who are among the most dedicated in the industry.”
Canopus will be offering regular intervals of EDIUS Pro 3 training on the show floor at WEVA EXPO 2005 next month. “There will be 45-minute training classes in the Canopus booth running through the duration of the show. Videographers can sign up for hands-on training using EDIUS Pro 3 software running on HP workstations that feature EDIUS NX with HDV board sets. And, participants will receive a free, fully functional trial version of EDIUS Pro 3 along with a 90-minute training DVD,” said Martin.
Registration for the EDIUS Pro 3 training, offered during trade show hours on a first-come basis, will be conducted on-site and is open to all WEVA EXPO 2005 attendees. EDIUS Pro 3 is designed to provide a seamless, realtime workflow supporting all video acquisition formats, with realtime, multi-track, mixed format HD/SD editing, compositing, chroma keying, titling and timeline output capabilities.
