2005 WEVA Special Award Honorees Announced

Sarasota, FL - To honor dedication and distinguished service, the Special Awards Committee of the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) has named 10 professional videographers to be the recipients of WEVA Special Awards of Industry Recognition at the association’s 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo next month. 
For the first time since the formation of the WEVA Special Awards Committee in 1998, and the announcement in 1999 of the first Special Awards honorees, the Committee voted to announce the honorees in advance of the annual WEVA Special Awards Presentation.
“There are many ways for videographers to use their skills and experience to serve fellow members in the WEVA community, and to help those in the communities in which they live,” said Kathy Ritondo, Chairperson of the WEVA Special Awards Committee.
”Every year the Committee honors the devotion and dedication of WEVA International members who put in countless hours of service. This year the Committee also honors members who serve behind the scenes, bringing them front and center to be recognized for their outstanding contributions,” she said.
From nominations submitted by fellow association members, and on behalf of WEVA International, the WEVA Special Awards Committee has named the following videographers as recipients of the 2005 WEVA Special Awards of Industry Recognition:
The 2005 WEVA Special Awards of Industry Recognition will be presented to this year’s honorees in a special celebration at the 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo during the Opening Night Gala at the Las Vegas Hilton.
