WEVA EXPO Website Hailed for 'Vision Engineering'
July 01, 2005

Sarasota, FL - "Wow! The new WEVA EXPO 2005 website looks fantastic," said WEVA International member Tim Sudall, past president of the Greater Philadelphia Videographers Association and owner of Video One Productions. "The site really shows some great ‘Vision Engineering’ at work."

"Vision Engineering!" It’s new, it's bold, and it's cutting-edge in professional videography -- like the new slate of programs heading to the 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo (August 8-11), the world’s largest convention and trade show devoted to professional wedding & event videographers.

“"We wanted the new WEVA EXPO 2005 website to not only provide general information, but also express that special feeling you get of an 'inspirational rush' when you're attending the convention. And we wanted to convey it in the visual medium of the future, which is widescreen," said WEVA International webmaster Ed Cannata who "engineered" the dynamic design for the new site and its multi-visual concept enclosures.

"The 'hanging plasma' designs you see on the WEVA EXPO 2005 website showcase action-video. It's also a way of expressing the unique vision that videographers from around the world will be sharing at this year's landmark convention," Cannata said.

At the helm of the stellar program line-up for "Year 15" of the EXPO is WEVA Director of Educational Development John Zale, past president of the Illinois Videographers Association, former member of WEVA’s Nonlinear Editing Development Committee, and a video pro who has attended every single EXPO since 1991 when the show was launched in the "garage" of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Crystal City, VA.

"Videographers have seen a whirlwind of change since the first EXPO 15 years ago, but I can’t ever recall a time like we’re seeing now when so much is happening so fast, and seemingly all at once. The choices, as well as the many exciting opportunities facing wedding and event videographers today are mind-boggling," said Zale.

"We’ve listened to the suggestions of wedding & event videographers nationwide, and measured the feedback. As a result, at WEVA EXPO 2005 we believe videographers will be able to attend an outstanding selection of cutting-edge seminars and workshops, go hands-on with state-of-the-art technology, and enjoy and an even greater opportunity for more system-specific edit software training on actual workstation set-ups from major manufacturers like Apple, Adobe, Avid, Canopus, and others.

"When videographers visit the new WEVA EXPO 2005 website, they'll also see awesome new segments planned for WEVA’s legendary BATTLE OF THE VIDEOGRAPHERS! series and the WEVA Creative Excellence Video Fest. And this year, whether you’re ready to ‘go HD’ or ‘standing by’ you will have the unique chance to see what other professional wedding videographers across the country are already producing in HD at the new WEVA HD Weddings Theater."

WEVA EXPO 2005, Zale said, will take videographers behind-the-scenes and reveal HOW the newest techniques and technology are being used to create, duplicate, and upsell wedding & special event videos.

Awesome Technology... Breathtaking Creativity... Inspiration Unlimited... and Marketing That Sells! You'll find it all at WEVA EXPO 2005.
