theknot Web Site Revises Wedding Video Information
October 16, 2001
New York, NY - After months of discussions, the wedding video information presented on theknot's web site has been updated, with direct input from WEVA.
"This process (working with WEVA Director of Media Relations Steve Wernick) has been very helpful," according to theknot's Editor Carley Roney. Other updates on the web site, such as on search criteria, will take longer to complete. Added Roney, "I like this idea (improving the choices brides have in how to search for a videographer) so much, but we probably cannot put more selection criteria up front on the search in our vendor guides for several reasons, some technical, some user xperience-wise (some complex terminology that may confuse brides). How we may be able to use this information is in the checklist of features about the videographer when you get into their profile -- there we can link to an explanation of terms so that we can explain and get the bride more educated. I'd like to have this info in a more sophisticated search in the future, though."
WEVA submitted a number of articles for theknot to use, and theknot adapted them for their web site with minor variations. "It's great to have theknot open to WEVA information," said Wernick. "They have had an active interest in getting fair, unbiased, and current information about wedding videography from WEVA."
"Work remains to be done" in getting the WEVA message out, acknowledged Wernick. "But WEVA is being heard." |
