7th Annual WEVA Town Meeting Tour Begins This Winter
September 28, 2004

Sarasota, FL - Following-up on the soaring success of last month’s 14th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo, WEVA International will hit the road this winter with an all-new, and cutting-edge, 7th Annual WEVA Town Meeting Tour, said WEVA International Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas.

“The upcoming WEVA Town Meeting Tour will spotlight state-of-the-art technology and extended system training that is vital for success in today’s competitive wedding and event video market,” said Argenas.

“WEVA events are always Number One for discovering new trends, new techniques, new technology, and how to really improve your success as a professional videographer. And because WEVA Town Meetings attract hundreds of both WEVA members and non-members for these special, one-night-only events, the networking at each Tour-stop is unbeatable! The bonus, of course, is that WEVA Town Meeting admission is free of charge when attendees register in advance.”

WEVA Town Meeting events are almost like a mini-version of WEVA EXPO – a perfect winter time booster shot for videographers across the country. At each city-stop, attendees have their choice of daytime WEVA Institute workshops, all of which are devoted to professional wedding and event videographers.

The digital video products displayed by the WEVA Tour Sponsors at each event in a special exhibition provide an exciting opportunity for all attendees to go "hands-on" with the newest technology in an environment completely dedicated to professional videography.

“New for 2005, will be an extra day of WEVA Institute programming along with testing for the new WEVA Merited Professional Videographer (MPV) accreditation program at select city-stops on the Tour,” said John Zale, WEVA International’s Director of Educational Development.

“John Zale just finished directing the outstanding videographer programming presented at this year’s most successful WEVA EXPO to date, and we're very pleased that he’s at the helm of development for the 2005 Tour programming. The Tour presentations are going to make it much easier for videographers to quickly reach a new level of creativity and technical expertise,” said WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman.

The 7th Annual WEVA Town Meeting Tour will begin in late February/early March 2005, said Argenas. The Tour will feature city-stops in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and West Coast and will wrap-up in Las Vegas during NAB Week (April 18-22). The kick-off event is being planned for Atlanta, GA. Exact dates and locations will be announced shortly. Registration and complete program details will be available later this fall on the special WEVA Town Meeting section of the WEVA International website at www.weva.com.
