Program Set For San Juan Town Meeting
October 02, 2001
Hicksville, NY - An amazing program has been set for WEVA's San Juan Town Meeting, being held from January 28 to 30, 2002, at the Wyndham El San Juan Hotel.
According to Town Meeting Tour Director Tim Ryan, "The primary focus of the workshops will be HOT SHOTS THAT SELL." Ryan added, "although this is only a working title, the workshops will be about shooting techniques, how to separate your footage from the “standard”. Shots that sell… whether on Demo reels or in general, because they are creative, unique, and powerful."
In alphabetical order, Maureen Bacon, David Robin, and Randy Stubbs will share their insights and information in the casual resort setting of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The two-day workshop format is more intense than what is experiencd at an Expo seminar. With limited space, the workshop environment allows attendees to interact more with the presenters, to ask questions, and to explore the topic in depth.
After winning an astounding six Creative Excellence Awards at WEVA Expo 2001, including two for Best of Category, Randy Stubbs, from Silver Star Enterprises in San Diego, CA will discuss what went into creating so different many award-winning tapes. In the history of the Creative Excellence competition, no one has won more awards in a single year.
Fresh from an incredibly well-received seminar at WEVA Expo 2001, Maureen Bacon, from Impact Images Video Productions in Colorado, will bring an all-new presentation of her creative, story-telling video techniques.
The winner of over a dozen Creative Excellence Awards in his career, David Robin will focus on his shooting style and what he looks for when shooting that get him top dollar bookings. These are the shots that sell, because they truly capture the beauty and emotion of the day. He will, of course, get into details about the filters and lenses that he uses. Robin, from Boulevard Video Productions in Encino, CA, joins the Town Meeting Tour for the third consecutive year.
Programs, exact dates, and hotel locations for the other cities will be announced here in the WEVA News shortly.
