Final Round Judging for WEVA Creative Excellence Entries Wraps Up in Orlando

Sarasota, FL - The final round of international competition judging for the 14th Annual WEVA Creative Excellence Awards Competition wrapped this week in Orlando, FL. The judges, all professional wedding and event videographers from around the country were sequestered for the better part of the week in order to complete the final round of judging for the wedding and event video industry’s most prestigious competition awards.
The WEVA 2004 CEA winning entries will be announced on Monday, August 16 at the WEVA EXPO Opening Night “Creative Excellence Video Fest.”
The WEVA 14th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo (Aug. 16-19) will showcase the winning entries in their entirety in multi-monitor screenings at the EXPO's Creative Excellence Video Fest, open to all registered attendees and spouses. Sponsored by Sony, WEVA EXPO’s Opening Night celebration of excellence in professional wedding and event video creativity allows all attendees to see “the best of the best” productions side-by-side while networking with one another and enjoying complimentary food and beverages.
“It’s an energizing, motivating, and absolutely inspiring way to kick-off what will be most exciting convention to date for professional wedding and event videographers,” said Dan Argenas, Director of Association Communications.
The WEVA 2004 CEA competition features a record-setting 13 separate categories for professional wedding and event videography. Every year, professional videographers are encouraged to enter their finest productions. “The competition is open to all professional videographers worldwide, and always draws outstanding, breakthrough videos,” said WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman.
The 2004 WEVA CEA competition features both new, and newly-revised categories, including Wedding Highlights Production, and Photo Montage Production.
Other categories include Wedding Love Story, Corporate Event Coverage, Wedding Pre-Ceremony Production, Wedding Ceremony Coverage, Wedding Post-Ceremony Production, Wedding Reception Coverage, Concept Video Production, Wedding DVD Authoring, Wedding Short-Form Production, and Wedding Demo Production.
The WEVA Creative Excellence Awards Competition has served as “an artistic challenge and a well-spring of inspiration,” said Argenas. “Every year videographers from around the globe look forward to gathering together to see just how far the bar has been raised and to be inspired to attain new heights of creativity and artistry.
