Over $25K in Video Gear To Be Awarded On WEVA Tour
February 13, 2004
Sarasota, FL - For professional videographers, the upcoming WEVA Town Meeting Tour will not only be educationally enriching, but economically rewarding as well. In addition to the free digital technology exhibits, free system-specific training, free buffet dinner, plus optional technical and creative workshops, this year’s Tour will also award over $25,000 in top video software and hardware to attendees in free door prize drawings.
Valuable video solutions, courtesy of Sony, Adobe Systems, Avid Technology, Inc., and Anton/Bauer, the official WEVA Tour sponsors, will be awarded during the Town Meeting sessions at each of the Tour’s five city-stops, said WEVA Town Meeting Tour Director Tim Ryan. “The top prizes are pictured on the Town Meeting Section of the WEVA website,” he noted. “Just hit the ‘Sponsors’ button to see the outstanding gear that will be given away free to attendees at every Town Meeting.”
Cool prizes being awarded at each city-stop include the Adobe Video Collection ($999 retail value), Anton/Bauer Statis Power Package ($1,630), Avid Xpress Pro ($1,695), and Sony Vegas Video ($699). The cities on this year’s Tour include Atlanta (March 15), Dallas (March 18), New York City (March 25), Los Angeles ( March 31), and Las Vegas (April 20 during NAB).
Town Meeting registration is free of charge and open to all video professionals who register in advance at www.weva.com (click on Town Meeting), where complete program and registration information is posted.
In addition to being eligible for the door prize drawings, Town Meeting attendees will also be the only ones eligible to win the special Tour Combo Prize to be awarded at WEVA EXPO 2004. “Thanks to the generosity of Avid, Sony, Anton Bauer, and Adobe Systems, videographers who attend both a 2004 Town Meeting event and WEVA EXPO in August have a double-bonus chance to win valuable video solutions!”
Official “limited-edition” WEVA Town Meeting 2004 Tour t-shirts will also be among the prizes. These one-of-a kind collector’s items are themselves a ticket to further winnings when worn at WEVA EXPO. “The door prizes are a terrific bonus,” said WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman. “They shine additional light on the enormous value of attending a WEVA Town Meeting and WEVA EXPO, which rests in the focused education, the system-specific training for videographers, unlimited peer networking, the chance to go hands-on with amazing digital technology and talk one-on-one with dedicated manufacturers in an environment that is totally devoted to professional wedding and event videographers."
Ryan added that seating is limited for the special WEVA Institute workshops being held in conjunction with this year’s tour. The system-specific training for videographers along with the optional workshops focusing on cutting-edge wedding and event video creativity and marketing are already filling up. Videographers are advised to register online now at www.weva.com to be assured of getting seats.
