2002 Town Meeting Tour Announced
August 28, 2001
Las Vegas - Following an entrance as a giant David Letterman, WEVA Town Meeting Tour Director Tim Ryan announced the cities and sponsors for the 2002 Tour.
Returning sponsors Sony and Panasonic are joined by Moore Digital Services, a DVD transfer house. With the outstanding equipment displayed by Sony and Panasonic, Moore Digital can put the videographers efforts into a format that will live forever.
The dates for the Tour have not yet been confirmed. We do know that the Tour’s destination stop will be San Juan, Puerto Rico, in late January or early February, 2002. Many WEVA members in East Coast cities had been interested in attending the Maui Town Meeting and workshops over the last two years, but the time and distance involved was prohibitive. In Puerto Rico, WEVA has a destination that is convenient and attractive to videographers throughout the South, the Southeast, the Northeast, and the Midwest.
In alphabetical order, the remaining cities are: Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, New York City, San Diego, and San Jose. According to Ryan, “WEVA will bring day-long events to each city on the Tour. The networking and education that starts at Expo can continue throughout the winter!”
Keep an eye on the WEVA web site for exact dates for each of those cities, as well as the featured presenters in each location.
