13th Annual Creative Excellence Award Winners Online

Sarasota, FL - A list of the 2003 WEVA Interntational Creative Excellence Award winners, creators of the wedding and event video industry’s most innovative productions of the year, honored during the Wedding & Event Video Expo’s Opening Night Gala, are now available for online viewing.

This year, fifty Creative Excellence awards were presented, with Gold, Silver, Bronze and Finalist Awards handed out in 12 competition categories. Winning entrants came from four different countries, reflecting WEVA's worldwide reach and membership.
The fact that more than a half-dozen winners were first-time entrants clearly demonstrates that new creative techniques and individual production styles are continually being introduced into professional wedding and event video production.
Steve Wernick, WEVA International Director of Media Relations, was the Master of Ceremonies for the Gala. Joining him to make the presentations were the five judges who participated in this year's evaluation process.

WEVA EXPO 2003 officially opened Monday, August 25th, with the exciting opening night reception and complimentary dinner, hosted and sponsored by Sony. The event was scheduled earlier in the convention for the first time this year.
“After reviewing extensive input from WEVA International members, the WEVA CEA Presentations, as well as the Special Awards of Recognition and WEVA Hall of Fame Awards were, for the first time, slated at the very beginning of WEVA EXPO. The presentation was an exciting kick-start for the entire convention,” said WEVA International chairman Roy Chapman.
“Wedding & Event Video Expo attendees always look forward to the annual WEVA Awards Presentation,” added Wernick. “Having the EXPO-wide event on Monday evening meant more people could participate than ever before, and it also allowed EXPO attendees to plan their seminar schedule based on the current CE award winners.”
