13th Annual WEVA Creative Excellence Competition Opens

Sarasota, FL - If you are producing creative weddings and events, don’t let your work go unnoticed! Enter your finest productions in the WEVA International 13th Annual Creative Excellence Awards Competition, the industry's most prestigious awards program. “The Competition is open to all professional videographers worldwide,” said WEVA International chairman Roy Chapman. Entries must be received by WEVA by 5:00 pm, Friday, June 20, 2003.
This year's Creative Excellence Competition features 12 categories, more than ever before, and includes new, and newly revised, categories, including Post-Ceremony Production and Short-Form Wedding Production. Videographers may also enter the categories of Wedding Love Story, Pre-Ceremony Production, Ceremony Coverage, Reception Coverage, Post-Reception Production, Social Event Production, Corporate Event Coverage, Wedding DVD Authoring, Wedding Demo Production, and Concept Video Production.
The complete list of all 12 wedding and event categories, and the 2003 Competition Rules and Official Entry Form, are now downloadable as a PDF file on the WEVA website at www.weva.com. The 2003 competition entry forms have also been mailed to all WEVA International members.
“Every year offers a fresh opportunity to win a prestigious award from this exciting competition. Over the past 12 years, professional videographers have won WEVA Creative Excellence Awards using all different types of formats, cameras, and editing gear,” Chapman said.
The 2003 winning entries will be announced at the special WEVA Awards Presentation at Wedding & Event Video Expo 2003, which has been moved forward to Monday night, August 25, 2003. In addition, award winners will be posted on the WEVA website and published in Wedding & Event Videography magazine. Winning entries will also be inducted into the WEVA International Wedding & Event Videography Hall of Fame.
