|WEVA Presidents Council Meets in NY

New York, NY - Always timed to coordinate with the WEVA Town Meeting Tour, the East Coast meeting of the WEVA Local Association Presidents Council was held on January 22, 2002 in New York City.
The nearly five-hour session, conducted by WEVA Member Services Liaison Tim Ryan, included WEVA International chairman, Roy Chapman and representatives from 13 different local videographers associations from the midwest and eastern regions. Several representatives who traveled long distances to attend the meeting, included Claudia Walters (St. Louis), Rommie Sebo (Cleveland) Larry Leeds (northern Virginia), Rod Salvilla (Syracuse) and Martha (Marty) Jones (Boston).
Numerous issues and concerns of local videographers associations were addressed at the New York meeting, which is one of three local association meetings conducted by WEVA International annually. Two more meetings of local association leaders are scheduled for 2002. One will be held for western region leaders, in conjunction with NAB in April, and the other will include all local association leaders nationally and internationally and will be held this summer at WEVA EXPO 2002, August 26-29, 2002 at Bally's Las Vegas.
