|'Battle of the Videographers' on WEVA-TV
October 29, 2003
Sarasota, FL - Just added to WEVA-TV, a "members-only" section of the WEVA International website, are all 12 video segments from the recent WEVA "Battle of the Videographers" series.
The exciting 3-part series, developed by WEVA International, premiered at WEVA EXPO 2003, the 13th Annual Convention and Trade Show for Professional Wedding & Event Videographers.
This multi-layered track of original programming allowed EXPO attendees to see, for the first time, how different WEVA award-winning videographers from around the world approached the same contemporary subject material. The videographers took time to explain how each finished segment was produced, providing WEVA EXPO attendees with an unparalleled "behind-the-scenes" learning experience.
The 3-part series included, "Battle of the Photo Montages," "Love Story Shoot-Out," and "Battle of the Wedding Editing Styles." The new series featured the amazing creativity of top videographers in the US, Australia, and the UK, including Maureen Bacon, Bill Cafarelli, Brett Culp, Lance Gray, Donna & Robin Greenwood, Dennys Ilic, Trisha Von Lanken, LaDonna Moore, David Robin, Randy Stubbs, John Weppler, and the late Graham Fenton.
WEVA's first-ever "Battle" series is "a dazzling demonstration of the innovative use of new techniques, new DV/NLE technology, and fresh approaches to "routine" wedding events by top videographers who have stretched the boundaries of wedding video creativity," said WEVA series producer Tim Ryan. He added that an all-new series is being planned for next August at WEVA EXPO 2004.
