|‘Afternoon With Apple’ Scheduled for WEVA EXPO 2003
May 16, 2003
Sarasota, FL - With the imminent release of Final Cut Pro 4 and DVD Studio Pro 2, Apple has scheduled a 4.5 hour pre-convention workshop at WEVA EXPO 2003
(August 25-28) to provide intensive training on their newest software.
Both Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro have experienced increasing popularity in the professional wedding and event video market, according to sources at Apple. By bringing an extended educational forum to the pre-convention time slot, Apple is offering WEVA EXPO 2003 attendees an outstanding opportunity to learn how these new programs operate in a ‘real world’ workflow environment.
“The long-form workshop taught by expert instructors from Apple is designed to provide videographers who register for this afternoon session with increased editing skills and overall production knowledge regarding these powerful programs,” said WEVA EXPO 2003 director Tim Ryan.
The “Afternoon with Apple” workshop will run from 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm on Monday August 25, 2003 at Bally’s Las Vegas. Seating is limited. Registration (opening in June at www.weva.com) will be on a first-come basis.
Apple will also have a major presence at the WEVA EXPO 2003 Trade Show where the company will feature hands-on instruction on Apple workstations set up in the Apple exhibit area. All WEVA EXPO 2003 attendees will also be able to check their email 24-hours on multiple high-speed Internet stations, courtesy of Apple, in the WEVA EXPO 2003 BACKLOT DV Lounge.
More information on the WEVA 13th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo (August 25-28, 2003 at Bally’s Las Vegas) including complete program/registration information will be posted on the WEVA website soon. Online registration for WEVA EXPO 2003 opens in June.
WEVA EXPO 2003 will officially open at 5:45 pm Monday August 25, 2003 with the Opening Night Gala, a complimentary dinner reception (sponsored by SONY) featuring the WEVA 13th Annual Creative Excellence Awards Competition Exhibition, and will close by 5:00 pm Thursday August 28, 2003.
