WEVA to Showcase 'Power of Video' at ABC Convention Nov. 9-11

Sarasota, FL - To increase awareness of the value of professional videography, WEVA International is set to attend the annual convention and trade show of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), being held in southern California November 9-11, 2008. See photos on the WEVA Facebook group.
WEVA Public Relations Committee chairperson Kris Malandruccolo, a WEVA Wedding & Event Videography Hall of Fame inductee who has also earned the ABC's designation of Master Wedding Vendor, will be participating in the ABC’s roundtable session "Video2Go" to demonstrate how bridal consultants and other wedding professionals can use video to promote, market, and sell their services. WEVA has partnered with ABC at both the 2006 and 2007 ABC conventions and most recently at the 2008 ABC Japan conferences in Tokyo and Osaka.
At the ABC trade show, the WEVA International exhibit booth will be displaying wedding and event video spots produced by WEVA award-winning videographers. These mini-commercials, which highlight and confirm to brides the value of preserving their special day for generations to come, will be distributed on a CD so consultants can upload them immediately to their mobile device.
At the WEVA exhibit booth, wedding consultants will also get information about the latest developments in professional wedding videography, and how they can take advantage of working with WEVA members nationally and internationally.
In the past few years, WEVA has been working with the ABC and its nationwide chapters to present "The Power of Video and How to Get More Business by Using It." Developed by the WEVA Public Relations Committee, the multi-media program has been presented by Malandruccolo and other PR Committee members to bridal consultants and wedding professionals across the country.
“The Power of Video” includes highlights from WEVA Creative Excellence Award-winning wedding videos, and shows how the impact of highly-produced videos can help sell the big-picture concept of videotaping weddings and other important lifecycle events. The presentations allow local videographers and bridal consultants to benefit from networking together and discovering how new DVD creativity is blending with new media to form powerful sales tools for generating more wedding business in today's competitive marketplace.
