WEVA's 'Power of Video' Coming to Boston & Hartford November 5 & 6
October 17, 2007

Sarasota, FL - "The Power of Video & How to Get More Business Using It" a new marketing program for videographers and wedding professionals developed by the Public Relations Committee of Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) will be presented in Boston, MA on Monday, November 5th to the National Professional Videographers Association (NPVA) and in Hartford, CT on Tuesday, November 6th to the Professional Videographers Association of Connecticut (PVACT).

"WEVA's 'Power of Video' is absolutely inspiring. It was one of the many simultaneous sessions presented at WEVA EXPO 2007 in Las Vegas," said NPVA Marketing Director Joe Bertolami co-owner of Joy of Video (MA). We're excited that it's coming here to Boston for our meeting next month!"

Presenting "The Power of Video" at both associations will be WEVA Wedding & Event Videography Hall of Fame inductee Kris Malandruccolo, Chairperson of the WEVA Public Relations Committee, a WEVA EXPO featured speaker, and owner of Elegant Videos by Kris (IL).

Spotlighting exciting clips from WEVA Creative Excellence Award-winning wedding videos, "The Power of Video" is designed to bring industry affiliates up to speed on state-of-the-art wedding video creativity.

The presentation will also reveal how vendors within the bridal industry can use video to promote their own businesses, and how professional videographers can tap into this emerging source of income.

Custom DVDs featuring brand new 60-second commercials promoting professional wedding video, which were produced by local associations around the country for entry into WEVA's "Battle of the Videographers" at WEVA EXPO 2007, will be screened at each meeting and presented to both associations for use in local marketing and promotions.

In the past year, members of the WEVA PR Committee have been “on the road” presenting "The Power of Video" to numerous organizations nationally and internationally. The WEVA PR Committee, which also includes Al Ritondo, Personal Touch Video (NJ); Natalie Neal, Glass Slipper Productions (PA); and Mike Nelson, Remember When Video Productions (UT), has spent the better part of two years developing industry outreach programs that either directly benefit the WEVA membership, or are meant to promote the value of professional videography to the wedding industry at large.

The NPVA meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Boston-Dedham Hotel & Conference Center in Dedham, MA and begins at 6:30 p.m. November 5th. Visit the NPVA website for further details and directions.

The PVACT meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. the following day at The Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Meriden, CT. Check the PVACT website for directions and more information. Kris Malandruccolo will also present "Marketing Tips for Savvy Videographers" at the PVACT meeting.

WEVA's “Power of Video” presentations will continue through 2008. If your local organization is interested in featuring this inspiring program, contact Kris Malandruccolo (Kris@ElegantVideosbyKris.com) or WEVA Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas (da@weva.com) or see them at "WEVA's Wide World of Weddings & Events" the new winter convention and trade show for professional wedding and event videographers January 29-February 2, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV.
