'Power of Association' Strengthens Wedding & Event Video Industry

Sarasota, FL - Results from a new series of WEVA International outreach programs, nationally and worldwide, show the “power of association” continues to nurture and strengthen professional wedding and event videography in the U.S. and around the globe.
In addition to the launch of WEVA Latino with PUNTO and Mexico's AMPESAV A.C., and the WEVA/PMA collaboration for our industry's first-ever wedding video conferences in the Asia-Pacific region (last May) and Canada (this September), other WEVA strategic initiatives are also breaking new ground in support of our growing industry.
The new WEVA Local Association Ambassador Program, unveiled earlier this year, continues to generate education programs and new program content for local videographers associations across the country - at no cost to local groups.
Members of the Pittsburgh Professional Videographers Association (shown here in the image by Larry Solomon) welcomed a visit from Ambassador Program Director Natalie Neal on June 18th.
The evening presentation was praised by PPVA President James Sanders, who also relayed reaction from videographers saying, “The response has been fabulous! I was approached by numerous members about how worthwhile the information was and what a pleasure it was to hear it from Natalie.” Next up for the Ambassador Program will be a visit to the newly-formed Iowa Videographers Association this Sunday.
'Power of Video' Debuts in Europe
After criss-crossing the U.S. over the past year, the WEVA “Power of Video” an industry-wide promotion initiative developed by WEVA’s Public Relations Committee, went global last month with its international debut in Europe.
WEVA PR Committee Chairperson Kris Malandruccolo presented the program in Venice Italy to a meeting of wedding industry professionals (pictured) hosted by internationally renown planner Jayne Seddon of Venice Events on June 9th.
Enabling this industry-first “was a pleasure for me,” said Seddon, who cited enthusiastic feedback from attendees. “The program we presented in Venice,” Malandruccloo adds, “has already begun opening new doors for our industry in Europe. We’re now anticipating some exciting new announcements in the near future as a result.”
Meanwhile, the “Power of Video” continues to be “on the road” here in the U.S. promoting the value of professional videography as well as video's outstanding marketing abilities to local associations, industry affiliates, and the bridal media. Malandruccolo says special events for the fall season will be announced soon. Watch the WEVA website for details.
